She was born in 1846 and died April 21, 1891. The twins would have been approximately 6 years old when their mother died. Henry Logan Porter then married Mary Goble on July 9, 1891. Mary who was 19 at the time was the daughter of Elijah and Rebecca Harmon Goble. We are in the process of doing a Wells family history and genealogy, and could use any information that you can send us. The deadline for additional information has passed, but if I can get it within the next month, we will be able to add your information. Your Wells line goes back to England. The Wells DNA project showed that our Wells line originated from the Celts of England. To learn more about the family, I would suggest that you make plans to attend the family genealogy session on the Saturday before Labor Day at Johnson Central High School in Paintsville, KY. Martin..My Henry Porter was born 1842 died 1913...I was wondering if the Wells family knew about the twins...I think that my grams brother was raised by an older sister that was already married....Henry and Arminta raised Gracie until Gracie was 5 when arminta died...Would love to know the story behind this...

In the book you referred to, does it mention anything about Jonathan's second marriage. He was my ggrandfather. My grandmother was Genoa Hackworth and she had a twin brother, Modes. Her mother was Ludenia Ellen Osborne, born in Ashe Co., NC. They lived in Willard, Ky., and Jonathan died there on April 27, 1916.(that was the date of issue by the local registrar). I know my grandmother had two other sister's, Mary Candace and Callie, if you have any information on them I would appreciate your sharing it with me. I know quite a bit about uncle Green Hackworth and met him when I was very young. Thank you for reading this rather long query.
