    1. Bettie Risner born 1834
    2. Seeking parents of Elizabeth Bettie Risner born in 1834 and married about 1850 to John S. Patrick. In 1860 John S. Patrick age 23 is found living in Morgan County Kentucky with wife Elizabeth age 26, his mother Rebecca, and four children: Mary age 10, Nancy age 8, William Daniel age 5, and Thomas B. age 2. It is from William Daniel Patrick's death certificate that we learn that his mother's name was Betty Risner. 1854 Tax rolls for Floyd County Kentucky listed John Patrick and Michael Risner, Eli (Elias) Risner, William J. Risner, William Risner, James Risner Sr., Meredith Risner, Jacob Risner, and William Risner. This researcher believes one of these William Risner's is the father of John Patrick's wife Betty. The last I have found of her is: 1880 Census for Morgan County Kentucky, Hamptons Mill, District 87, Page 531C: Name Relation Marital Status Gender Race Age Birthplace Occupation Father's / Mother's Birthplace Bettie PATRICK Self W Female W 40 KY KY KY Thomas PATRICK Son S <Single> Male W <White> 22 KY Laborer KY KY George PATRICK Son S <Single> Male W <White> 18 KY Laborer KY KY Rebecca A. PATRICK Dau <Daughter> S <Single> Female W <White> 16 KY At Home KY KY I wonder if John S. Patrick died in the Civil War? Any help appreciated.

    1. Re: [KYFLOYD] Minnie Thompson- Hall Cemetery, Harold, Floyd County, KY
    2. There are many cemeteries named HALL in Floyd County. Some of them are near the Harold area. I can tell you, for sure, that Minnie is not buried in the Elijah Hall cemetery off of Hwy 1426, up Prater Creek, near Dana, in Floyd County. I photographed that entire cemetery last summer and she wasn't there. I do have cemetery records for some other Hall cemeteries, but they don't have info on burials to 1988. Here's what I know of: John Hall Cemetery, 4 miles up Little Mud Creek of Rt 1426, near Harold, KY Hall Cemetery, on Cager Branch of Toler Creek on Rt. 1426, near Harold, KY Greenberry Hall Cemetery, 5 miles up Branham Creek, off Rt 979, Big Mud Creek Henderson Hall Cemetery, 4 miles up Branham Creek, off Rt 979, Big Mud Creek G.W. Hall Cemetery, Rt 122, Melvin, KY Jarvey Hall Cemetery, 3 miles up Frasure Creek off of Rt 122, McDowell, KY Lucy Hall Cemetery, on Rt. 122, McDowell. KY Hall Cemetery, 8 miles north of Prestonsburg off Rt 23 on Auxier Heights Hollow You may have luck contacting the Hall Funeral Home. They do alot of the burials in that area and may have a record of Minnie's service and location. (maybe an obituary too?) Their website is _http://www.hallfuneralservice.com/_ (http://www.hallfuneralservice.com/) Good luck! ... 2. It is my understanding that the Elisha Johnson, born about 1820, who married Elizabeth Mullins, was the son of Patrick Johnson and Anna Martin. Patrick and Annie married in Floyd County on June 13, 1813, according to the record books. ...Karen Karen Olson Ammon Surnames: Kidd, Bays/Bayes, Akers, Hall, Johnson, George, Webb KY Counties: Floyd, Johnson, Lawrence Karen's Kentucky Heritage website: _http://www.karenskyheritage.com_ (http://www.karenskyheritage.com/)

    1. Re: [KYFLOYD] Patrick Johnson and Delilah Carter
    2. Elizabeth "Betsy" Hammons supposedly married Patrick & Delilah's son Peyton Johnson (born 1816). They were married in Floyd County in 1850. I haven't found a marriage record of it though. Peyton had been married before, but I don't know the name of his first wife. The children listed in that 1850 census are supposed to be his children from the first marriage. I did find a marriage record for an Elizabeth Caudill, who married a Stephen Hammons in November of 1844 in Floyd County. Would this be the same woman mentioned above?
