    1. Big Sandy Valley Book
    2. Hi all, I just wanted to say that I was at my library tonight and found this book. I spent about 2 hours there and was facinated by the information in it. I think someone was looking for information on the name: Auxiers? The book had a lot on them. The book also contains some pictures and the one in there of Gen. Daniel Hager ( my line) resembled George Clooney, I think!! I have an article from a Paintsville paper that I got from my Grandmother that I'm using to get my information from. This article reads like that book. I found the person that wrote this article ( M. L. K. Wells) in the book and he was in charge of the post office for Daniel Boone's camp. I thought that was neat!! I'm planning on going back tomorrow as you can only use this book as a reference. It's not allowed to be taken out of the library. I can see why. It has a lot of very valuable information in it. My offer still stands. If anyone wants me to look up anything for them, I can do that. Just give me the names and I'll see what I can do for you. Again, this is a very interesting book. Suzan

We have a quarterly publication (Some times we only get 3 issues out in one year.) called The Trestle. Dues for this organization are $10 per year. I remember the Hubbard family well. Your cousin Mike Wells is now a school superintendent in Ohio. Mike is back in Auxier quite often, since his father has been sick. E-mail me directly, If you want to know any particular things about Auxier and its people. My E-Mail address is Questionwell@yahoo.com. Bobby W. Wells

I tried your email address, but I must be typing something wrong, as the mail bounced. If you like, contact me and I can just reply to your email. I think the little kids listed on the 1860 census must belong to the older daughters. I know Mary E. is my great grandmother, and her mother was Harriet. Bonnie

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/pAB.2ACI/5344.1.1 Message Board Post: I need to correct what I said in that previous note about Ira having 15 children. I don't think the last 4 children shown in the 1860 census really belong to Ira. I'm just carrying them there in my data until I figure out where they really belong. So the 11 children you show is probably correct. I know what you mean about aging 13 yrs between the 1860 and 1870 census; but they only aged about 6 or 7 yrs between the 1850 and 1860 census, so I guess that makes up for it.

I had both names - Ann and Martha, but didn't have Martha's last name. I found them in the 1870 Boyd Co., KY Catlettsburg census. They seem to age 13 years for every 10. In 1870, Ira is listed as 69, and Martha as 58. I didn't know which children belonged to Ann and which to Martha, so those born after abt 1845 I'll attribute to Martha.
