Hello List, I'm researching John Allen Bentley and Susan Prater from around Allen, Kentucky. mostly went by Allen Bentley born about May 1855 Kentucky married Susan Prater born about Jan 1865 Kentucky. Children: Polly Bentley William Bentley James Bentley Solomon Bentley born about June 1889 Kentucky Thomas Bentley born 9 June 1890 Hueysville, Kentucky Gilbert Bentley born about Jul 1893 Floyd Co., Ky Biddie Jane born 15 May 1895 Floyd Co., Ky married to Linden L. She was born July 25, 1934 in Prestonsburg, KY to Ervin and Isabelle (Watkins) Whitaker. On April 30, 1951, she married Rev. Charles E. Calhoun in Mason, MI; he preceded her in death December 25, 1996. Irene worked in housekeeping at Albion College and later worked at Albion Manor as a housekeeper. She attended Crossroads Church and Ministries in Marshall. She enjoyed garage sales, walking, and taking care of her grandchildren. She is survived by (1) daughter, Virgie Holtz of Albion, MI, (1) son, Darrel ( Toni) Calhoun of Ashville, AL, (9) grandchildren, (2) great grandchildren, and (1) sister, Bev Carrender of Somerset, KY.
