Hello everyone! This is your friendly listkeeper, Christine! I am pleased that this list has grown so rapidly--in less than 2 1/2 months, we have well over 50 subscribers in List Mode alone. I hope that we can help this list grow into a wonderful tool for us all. But, the best way to have your questions answered is to ask them! Think of it as advertising--you have to always remind folks that you're out there for anyone to connect. So, I am calling for the first Roll Call for the list. Simple concept, I bet most of us have seen one on some other list, but here's the plan for those who haven't: List the surnames you are searching in Fayette Co, KY, with dates (or estimated dates). And keep listing them...one list I am on suggests that we each pick a day each month (like the 17th) and post your queries again. And read through the surnames on other posts--you may find a cousin! To start the ball rolling, here's my own list: ARMSTRONG Jane, m Simeon HAINES, dau of Sarah HUSTON and Wm ARMSTRONG. EWING Margaret, m William LINDSAY, d in Fayette in 1780s.
