THOMAS DRAKE SOUTH apparently born in Fayette County in 1805. Apparently became a lawyer. Apparently moved to Pike County, Missouri before 1837 (married Elizabeth Summers there in 1837) There is some confusion as to who his parents were. John South and Elizabeth Hoy is the most popular choice. Also some confusion as to who this John South's parents were. I get a head ache every time I try to figure this out.
