Hi Listers: I'm glad to see this list get started. Here is my Fayette County information as far as I have it. I just learned yesterday for sure that my 4th great grandfather was William Ford, who was sheriff of Fayette County about 1800. He died Jan-Feb 1820. His wife was Lydia, and his children were Charlotte, Nancy, Daniel, John, William, Elizabeth "Betsey", Emily and Harriet. Charlotte FORD married Level HILTON in 1820. Level HILTON was a house carpenter in Lexington from about 1800 until he died in 1837. Their children were Amanda (married James Houghton), William F. (married Emily Jane Marsh) and Mariah G. who married William B. Marsh. Harriet Ford married John E. Cromwell in 1829. I think John E. Cromwell was the son of Vincent Cromwell. He had another son, Oliver, who I think is the Oliver Cromwell who was named guardian of the Hilton children when their father died in 1837. If there is anyone who knows anything about any of these people or families or has research suggestions for me, I would very much appreciate hearing from you.
