I monitor this list for a lady who is descended from Melchior Miers, a butcher who was living in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky around 1800. His children, born in the 1790's, are believed to be: Caty Miers md. Francis KRINKLE Henry Miers md. Lydia WALL Christina Miers md. Thomas McQUILLEN Mary Magdalena Miers md. Isaac (?) SALYERS and William SALLEE Barbara "Barbary" Miers - probably did not marry Sarah Miers md. Silas McDERMID And there was a Christopher Miers, who might have been a brother to Melchior. I've lost my note, but I believe Melchior was a member of a German Lutheran Church in Lexington. Anyone know where Melchior came from or know any more about him?
