I saw your email on the Fayette Co list. I have an Arty Carolina Dedman married to James Y Bowen in approximately 1850. She was born in the Carolinas and he in Virginia. They lived in Mississippi for about ten years and their first four children were born there. They moved to Hardin Co, Tennessee in the early 1870s and lived there til their deaths around 1910. Does she sound at all familiar?
