WILLIAM WILGUS / c1789 - 1836 WILLIAM WILGUS moved to the Lexington area from New Jersey about the beginning of the War of 1812. His wife was Mary Ann Davis, daughter of Garrard Davis of Lexington. They were married c1814 in Lexington. Their children were: Elizabeth b. c1816; three unknown females; John B. b.1824; Mary O. b. c1825; and Garrard D. b. 1827. All were born in Lexington. Garrard D. is my direct line; he married Agnes Clay Monks, daughter of Thomas Monks, in 1848 in Lexington.
