Hi, I have joined this list because I don't know where else to look for the information I seek. My great-grandmother, MARY CUNNINGHAM WALSH, was born in Lexington KY, supposedly on the Henry Clay Farm, 4 Mar 1861. Her parents were EDWARD CUNNINGHAM and ANNE MEEHAN, both from Ireland. There were two sons, JOHN CUNNINGHAM b Oct 1863, and EDWARD CUNNINGHAM b Aug 1865. Also born In Lexington KY. By 1870 they had moved to Cincinnati OH where I found them in the Census. My questions: Are there birth records for this period for Lexington? Were Irish immigrants hired at the Henry Clay Farm? Would any records have been kept of births there?
