    1. [KYFAYETT] Lexington Asylum
    2. I am looking for any information on an asylum in Lexington in 1832. Also looking for coroner records for Fayette County for 1832. These are some papers found in Lincoln County Courthouse for the Estate of Dr. Joshua McCormack who died around September 13, 1832. Receipt for payment, not dated or signed, road expense to and from Lexington while taking Joshua McCormack to lunatic assylum. Receipt for payment, dated Spetember 13, 1832 purchase of 3 yards of Cambric for Joshua McCormack. Possibly what his body was wrapped in, when buried, if he was alive when this was bought, it would not be in his estate papers) Receipt for a coroners jury and services, naming James Devers as the coroner for Fayette County, dated September 17, 1832. Does anyone know if the coroner records for this time frame survived over the years? I know there have been several fires in courthouses but would these records have been kept at the courthouse or some place else. Any help is appreciated. Also, any newsppapers for this time frame. I understand it would have been very rare for a coroner's jury or as we call it an inquest to have been held during this time. Thanks for your time. Susan Hudgens
