Hello! I'm hoping someone can help me find out some more information about my Cavin (sometimes Cavins) ancestors. I only have one name, Thomas Cavin. He lived in Fayette Co., Kentucky, and according to his obituary in The Lexington Reporter, he died May 9, 1829 at 83 years of age. I found his name on the 1788 Fayette Co. tax list, and he was mentioned in The History of Fayette Co., Ky by Robert Peter. It stated that he had bought property from the government while it was still Virginia (and subsequently sold it to the Irvin family). In the Kentucky Gazette in 1794, there is mention of his property being adjacent to a Robert Preston's & a John Hawkin's. Aside from this, all I have is his wife, Jane Erwin, and his daughter, Jane Cavin Armstrong. If any of this sounds familiar to you, please let me know. Thank you. Roxanne
