Hi Carleen, There is a good chance that NPRC will have something, but be prepared to apply more than once. I think they are probably short-staffed and can't put much time in each request. I don't know how long the VA keeps their records or where they send them for storage. Here's a link to the new NPRC site. nara.gov is now archives.gov. http://www.archives.gov/facilities/mo/st_louis/military_personnel_records.ht ml From there you can get info on the 1973 fire and download SF-180 to request records. Be sure to follow the instructions and send the form to the right address for each request. Good Luck.
