    2. Thank you for answering, Jim. If my Dad got a Veterans Pension for his WW I. service, do you think the VA would have his records? He also used the VA medical system. This was prior to 1960. Carleen

    3. Hi Carleen, There is a good chance that NPRC will have something, but be prepared to apply more than once. I think they are probably short-staffed and can't put much time in each request. I don't know how long the VA keeps their records or where they send them for storage. Here's a link to the new NPRC site. nara.gov is now archives.gov. http://www.archives.gov/facilities/mo/st_louis/military_personnel_records.ht ml From there you can get info on the 1973 fire and download SF-180 to request records. Be sure to follow the instructions and send the form to the right address for each request. Good Luck.
