Hello fellow listers, I am seeking information on anyone familiar with the following surnames in the State of Kentucky: DE ROSEAR, DE ROSIER, DEROZIER, DEROSIERS, etc. My children's Gr3-Grandfather, William DE ROSEAR, was born bet. August 12, 1813 - 1815, 3 miles from Lexington, KY to Pierre DE ROSEAR (or any name similar to) and his wife, ____ _______ who died when William was 3 years old. His father Pierre (a horse trader) took William to his father Joseph's home in Lenora, District of Montreal, Canada. When 17, William moved back to the US and died in Lee County, Iowa. This story was told by either William himself or one of his descendants and published in "Portrait and Biographical Album of Lee County, Iowa 1887, Author: Unknown, Page 276 and 277. Nothing is known by any descendant as to the name of William's mother and the State of Kentucky has not been able to provide any information about this family. Thank you in advance of any reply.
