Robert, Might I suggest you write a letter to that address, address it to "occupant," or whatever. Ask them if it is divided into apartments. You might ask if they know some older, longtime residents on the block that might have information any abt the old days. You would be surprised people will do and try to help you. We "oldies" know this from the days that snail mail was the only way to do research. Be sure to give the people your on-line address too. Or ask if you can call them. Send a SASE addressed to yourself. That makes all the difference in the world. [That also works when you send for a marriage lic, will, etc., to the harried, underpaid clerks offices. Most times they are on a tight budget. Plus it makes it so much easier for them to pop that copy in your completed enveloped.
