Robert, I grew up there in the 60's and 70's and the only Army base I remember was the Lexington Bluegrass Army Depot on Briar Hill Road between Lexington and Winchester. There's another larger LBAD just southeast of Richmond. One may be an annex of the other. If there was something around the Lexington area before that, it was before my time.
