I would certainly be interested in a book or other information about Fayette County in this period. My ggrandmother was born in 1861, according to family lore, at the Henry Clay farm in Lexington of immigrant Irish ancestors. She had two (or three) siblings born there also. The family names were CUNNINGHAM, MEEHAN, FORRESTALL, WALSH. So far that is all I know of her ancestors so information on how and why the Irish arrived in Lexington and why they moved on to Cincinnati, OH by 1870 would be of great interest.
