    3. I think it may not be that uncommon. My g-g-grandmother was said to have been a Cherokee Indian. I talked to a cousin who actually met my g-g-grandmother when she (my cousin) was a child. My g-grandmother's name was Frances "Fannie" Bellwood. In 1900, she is 16 years old and living with George and Ella Garrett. I do know that one of the Garrett children was Fannie's half-brother. When she married my g-grandfather in 1904, her last name was Eldridge.
