    1. PAYNE 1835 silk quilt
    2. Hi listers; Searching for information about Henry Conyers Payne who married Catherine Lewis in 1805 and raised their 10 children in Fayette county. The 7th child, Miss Sallie Payne (never married) created an exquisite silk quilt that will be exhibited soon and I have taken the responsibility to find more on this family. I'm very interested in determining if Miss Sallie attended a school in KY, where she learned her unusually fine ability to stitch and embroider. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
