    3. Hello A.J. Thanks so much for writing. Yes, Julia is the daughter of Henry P. Buford and ALL of us BUFORDs are connected. Richard was the immigrant who came to America in 1635 as Richard Beauford and he would be so very astonished to see all of us now. I certainly would be interested in what you have as I am a firm believer that all the collateral families are as important as the Buford half of the family. My gggGrandmother was a McDOWELL and the daughter of Judge Samuel McDowell who wrote the first constitution for Kentucky in 1792 and Kentucky's first Circuit Court Judge. The McDowell family is as note worthy as the Buford family. There are a lot of pages in my book dedicated to the McDowell family. There are a lot of Buford families still living in Missouri.
