Hello Dorris, I think I have lost contact with you and hoping to restart once more. Researching the "King" families in Missouri.(Like the elusive Smith's) :))) John King b. Jan 1790 in KY, married Elizabeth McKinney(John McKinney's sister and Alexander McKinney's youngest daughter). Marriage location then was St Charles, MO. They settled near Marthasville, MO. Later I find them in Montgomery Co., then Warren County, MO at the time of her death. They traveled with the Boone, McKinney and Bryan families from Kentucky to Missouri. 1. Best location for information on these travels from KY>MO. 2. Any mention of John King other than John McKinney's Biography and tax records in 1817 & 1819??? 3. Having a terrible time finding where these families started from in KY. Which waterways were used? 4. Any information on early wars that I can get off the computer around the 1790's thru 1870's?? 5. Where could I find the Louisiana Purchase information showing land deals/ trades(Buys)? 6. Are there any Church records from this time period?
