I am new to the list and have also posted this query on the Bourbon list. My grandparents are Moses Cusanbary, Cusnenberry, Quisenberry spellings and wife Ann unknown who were originally from Virginia.. My family believes Moses Cusanbary, etc., descends from the Quisenberry family from Orange Co., Va. Moses signed petitions in 1783 and 1786 in Bourbon County, Ky and lived at Limestone at Licking Creek in 1786. They attended Bryan Station Church , Coopers Run Baptist Church ca 1790. Later they attended David's Fork's Baptist Church in Fayette County. Some families they intermarried with were my Pulliam line who went to Warrenn and Allen County, Ky. Moses sons in Bourbon and Fayette counties were Elijah, John, Vinson (Vincent), William and Daniel. They intemarried with the Ross, Lindsay, Davis families as well as Obedience Cushenberry m Johnson Ellis who was part of the Hezekiah Ellis family. They also intermarried with the family of Neal McCann. I was wondering where to look for records prior to 1783 as I thought Fayette and Bourbon was part of Kentucky Co., Va. Would anyone have any knowledge on these families and where to look for records ca 1783 or before ? I don't know anything about Kentucky Co., Va. Thank You, Marianne Dillow
