Carol I live in Lexington and can look it up the next time I am downtown. Give me the name of the person you are searching for and I will see what I can find. My son lives in Indianapolis and bought tickets for the final four hoping that UK would be playing. Alas they didn't make it. I spoke with the Fayette Co. Library. They searched the city directories between 1912 & 1916 for a certain person. Knowing he lived in Lexington for part of that time period, I called the clerk's office to see if they had any marriage records for him. I am looking for two marriages and a divorce. Alva Haynes' first wife died on April 8, 1911 in Nicholasville, KY. I believe he married, divorced, and married again before 1915 as he and his wife Evalena Underwood had twins born on April 25, 1916. An obit for one of the twins states she was born in Lexington, so it is possible he would have married in Fayette County. Is there a book at the library that lists marriages from 1911 - 1916? If not, where would I call to find this information.
Mollie, I found the listed references to "Patton" in the book referenced below. There were no Curron references though there were some Curran Currens and Current references. Carol, Good news. I did locate Jesse and Lillie Littral for you. They are interned at the Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery on Versailles Road in Lexington, KY. His mother Ceacy Reynolds Littral is also listed as being interned there, however I don't have the location of his father Charles Littral. Also there are his brothers James B. Littral (along with his wife Tommie Johnson Littral) and Charles Leslie Littral (along with his wife Lennie Taylor Littral). His brother Edward S. Littral was interned at the Blue Grass Memorial Gardens on Harrodsburg Road outside of Lexington, KY. Edward's first wife Malinda McGrann Littral is interned at Maple Grove Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY. He remarried Mrs. Margaret Johnson later. His brother Albert Littral was interned at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY. I have copies of the obits, but I will have to send them later. Would you mind telling me how they are related to your sister-in-law? Paul Gregory Lexington, Kentucky On 3/4/10 3:00 AM, "[email protected]" <[email protected]> wrote:
