    1. [KYFAYETT] RALSTON
    2. James Ralston
    3. Hello, I just became, probably, the newest member to your mailing list. I have joined because I now have learned from the Fayette Co. Genealogical Society, that my ggg-grandfather, JOHN RALSTON, was living in the county in 1790. The best information I had prior was that he was from Harrison. This proved to be true later on in time. If anyone has any information of an official nature concerning the RALSTON in the area, I would be ever so grateful to share information with you. I am thankful to Mr. Melvin E. Hurst for responding to me via snail-mail. If by chance Sir, you should read this and have time to e-mail me I would appreciate it. If I can assist anyone with research in this area where I live, please feel free to e-mail me. Jim Ralston in Michigan cam13ral@mich.com

    1. [KYFAYETT] Family Tree thingee
    2. I can't remember where I saw it and I can't find the form I printed to order it, but I remember someone shared a circular family tree thing that was huge. I am a visual person, and I am getting to the point where I am not sure what I know and what I need to work on and I thought the circular set up would be great for me at this point. Does anyone out there remember seeing something like that and where you would get it from? Thanks Jan Varnon, Lake Mary, FL

    1. [KYFAYETT] William Ford, Lexington, 1800 or so
    2. Caroline House
    3. Hi Listers: I'm glad to see this list get started. Here is my Fayette County information as far as I have it. I just learned yesterday for sure that my 4th great grandfather was William Ford, who was sheriff of Fayette County about 1800. He died Jan-Feb 1820. His wife was Lydia, and his children were Charlotte, Nancy, Daniel, John, William, Elizabeth "Betsey", Emily and Harriet. Charlotte FORD married Level HILTON in 1820. Level HILTON was a house carpenter in Lexington from about 1800 until he died in 1837. Their children were Amanda (married James Houghton), William F. (married Emily Jane Marsh) and Mariah G. who married William B. Marsh. Harriet Ford married John E. Cromwell in 1829. I think John E. Cromwell was the son of Vincent Cromwell. He had another son, Oliver, who I think is the Oliver Cromwell who was named guardian of the Hilton children when their father died in 1837. If there is anyone who knows anything about any of these people or families or has research suggestions for me, I would very much appreciate hearing from you. If any of these people are part of your family, I will be happy to share information and documentation with you. Happy hunting to all and thanks to the listowner who told me about this new list. 3. Looking at all ROBINSONs of Fayette County before 1850; have information I'd be happy to share. My Robinson line in Fayette Co begins with Joseph Robinson of the David's fork area. His will was written in 1819 and probated in 1823. My line is through his son John Robinson (ca1779-1850) who married Sarah Berry of Clark Co in 1802. Another son of Joseph Robinson, Dudley Robinson, married Elizabeth Cusenberry (? of Bourbon Co) in 1809 and moved to Logan Co, Ky, about 1827. Children of John and Sarah (Berry) Robinson were William; Joseph; Boswell (b1808); Nancy (m Original R. Williams); Mildred A (b 1812, m John Prather); Elijah H.; Elizabeth (m Reuben Bryant); Thomas Berry; Mary Ann (m William Garnett); and Catherine. This family probably lived on Hancock Creek in Clark County until about 1826 when they moved to the East Hickman Creek area near Athens, Fayette Co. Thanks, Joan <jhcliff@planet.eon.net>

    2. The names I am researching are mostly in the 1785 to 1810 time period. They are Elizabeth CLARK, COFFMAN who married Willam VEACH. In an article in the KY Gazetter she is listed in a lawsuit as an heir for Thomas CLARK. Thomas and Jocob MYERS were listed together on the suit against another party. Her sister Susanna, married to a William SHEPPHERD was also mentioned. Betty Silfies
