    3. FI: Bluegrass Memorial Gardens Is on the west side of town, out in the country really...near Military Pike. I''m not sure about the others. However, Lexington Cemetery is the big one, on West Main, just west of Broadway. Calvary is across the street from Lexington Cemetery, and is Roman Catholic. Since the name was O'Neil, I'd be sure to check out Calvary first. These two are the oldest in use. The others are fairly new. 3. Good evening, Was wondering if anyone could provide the names of cemeteries in Lexington. I received a death certificate today for my great grandmother, Bridget (Gormley) O'NEIL. She died in Cinncinnati in 1927 but was buried in Lexington. Her name on the cert. lists her as Beatrice O'NEIL. I don't know why she would have changed her first name - I don't think it was done legally. TIA for any help........... Shannon

    3. I am looking for the parents of William [R.] MORRIS, b. Oct. 20, 1820/21 in Fayette Co., KY, and who died July 27, 1885 in Little York, Warren County, IL. He was buried in the Belmont Church cemetery in Seaton, IL. William MORRIS married Eve Ann CARPENTER in Jan., 1843 in Paris, Bourbon Co., KY. Eve Ann CARPENTER was born July 26, 1827 in Lexington, KY, and died Sept. 29, 1888. She is buried next to her husband in IL. William and Eve Ann (CARPENTER) MORRIS had 9 children: 1) John Warren MORRIS 1844-1924; m. STEARNS 2) Mary Catherine MORRIS 1846-1892; m. ARMSTRONG 3) Geo. N. MORRIS 1848-1849 4) William Morton MORRIS 1850-1929; m. STEARNS 5) Martin Pierce MORRIS 1852-1931; m. CHAMBERS 6) Ralph R. MORRIS 1855-1934 (my g grandfather); m. LAUVER 7) Martha (Mattie) Ann MORRIS b. 1857; m. MILLIS 8) Dudley Robert MORRIS b. 1860 9) Chas H. MORRIS 1863-1879 I have an obituary for the 4th child above, which says that HIS GRANDfather was "JOHN MORRIS of VA". This is the only clue I have for the parents of William R. MORRIS. Eve Ann CARPENTER (above) was the daughter of Daniel CARPENTER and Esther (or Hannah) DUNLAP. She also had 2 brothers: William H. CARPENTER 1828-1851 and George Daniel CARPENTER 1832-1881. Eve Ann and at least one brother, William H. CARPENTER, were partially raised by an Uncle DUNLAP, of Louisville, KY. I have nearly all of the descendants of the 9 children listed above. I would appreciate any help or comments in my search for the parents of William MORRIS or the CARPENTER family, and any link to the DUNLAPS. Thanks, Keith Morris...in Suffolk, VA kmorris@hroads.net

    2. Just so you know, you CANNOT bring pens in. Only pencils. I f you don't have one, the security guard will give you one. And you must write down all of the resources you use on a paper they give you, especially in the book area. They will give you a locker to use to store your purse, coat, etc. in. If you are going to ask them for any court records, they keep those in another area and it may take a while to get them, so go early in the day so that you have plenty of time. Diane

    3. Hi Bob! My own favorite genealogy web sites are: http://www.cyndislist.com It's an index of other sites, all genealogy related. Want to know where to find censuses online? Want to read about Lithuanian marriage ceremonies? Cyndi probably has a link! http://www.rootsweb.com Good old Rootsweb has lots and lots of great genealogy on it. The GenConnect Boards, the mailing lists, the GenWeb projects. Rootsweb is host to many many projects and resources. http://www.familysearch.org The searchable web page with the Ancestral File, International Genealogical Index, and various web sites. http://genforum.genealogy.com GenForum is a great searchable site for posting queries about lots and lots of surnames. A word of caution, be aware of spelling variations if you can't find 'your' surname. There are also regional resources. And you can create "My GenForum" by selecting the surnames or other forums in which you are most interested. There are lots of "pay" or "members only" sites, but I tend to prefer the free ones. And, of course, using any old non-genealogy search engine will get you to genealogy sites. Try putting in the surname, and the word 'genealogy' or 'family', or maybe the name of a town or county your line was in at some time. Hope this was of some help. Probably the closest to what you are seeking is Cyndi's List, though. Almost 60,000 links, and counting! Anybody else have any suggestions? Any specific Fayette County related sites? Thanks, and good luck! Christine in Chicago Robert L Stone wrote: > > Hello Listers > Has anyone seen a URL list pertaining just to Genealogy?
