    3. Hi Alma, Thanks for checking the census for me. Mmm......not sure, if these names are who I'm looking for, but I will definitely make a note of them and see if perhaps they will fit into the family tree at some point. 1. [KYFAYETT] FW: BENETT,DOUGLAS,FOWLER,HOWE
    2. Gail Henry
    3. Hi my name is Gail Henry and I live in St Louis MO. My Grandmother Rosa Bennett Fowler was from Lexington KY. She was born in 1899 to Charlie and Julia Bennett. My search last year in Fayette county was looking for my Grandma's 2nd husband's parentage. His mother was Lucinda Ella FOWLER SAPP HOWE. She married David Howe (b 1852) in 1906 in Fleming Co and was in the Lexington directory in 1910. My Grandfather Ted was born Sept 1 1910 and was named Ted Howe. Lucinda died in 1913 and David disappeared. My Grandfather was raised by his uncle Capt Thomas FOWLER and took the name FOWLER instead of HOWE. According to the 1910 census Ella was living in a house she owned but don't know what happened to the house after she died. She had 3 older children by Sam SAPP and one of them, John SAPP took care of her funeral arrangements. Also, I know that Ella's parents were John FOWLER , don't know where he died, and Fannie FOWLER who died in 1916 in Lexington as a widow. So that's my story, oh yes did I tell you that my Grandmother was first married to John SAPP, Ella's oldest son, and had 6 children and then to Ted HOWE FOWLER, his half brother, and had 4 more (my mother was number 3 of the second group). Whew. That's my family story. Now, any help would be great. Cannot find David Howe anywhere, don't know what happened to John Fowler but suspect he is buried somewhere in Fleming Co. I could go on for days. Thanks Gail -----Original Message----- From: KYFAYETT-L-request@rootsweb.com [mailto:KYFAYETT-L-request@rootsweb.com] Sent: Thursday, March 30, 2000 10:24 PM To: ghenry@brick.net Subject: You have been added to the subscriber list of: KYFAYETT-L@rootsweb.com the following mail address: ghenry@brick.net By default, copies of your own submissions will be returned. Welcome to the KYFAYETT mailing list! You are currently subscribed in 'mail mode'. Please save or print this welcome letter for future reference (especially the instruction bits at the end). My name is Christine, and I am the list owner for the mailing list to cover Fayette Co, Kentucky. If you have any questions or problems using the list, please contact me at xinegirl@gateway.net. Helpful hints: Post your interests early and often. Start by sending a message that introduces yourself right now! Surnames in ALL CAPS help make the details stand out. Subject lines that include SURNAME, time and place are best, estimate if you're not sure. There's no such thing as a dumb question, and we are all here hoping to find answers. But the biggest hint of all is post, post, post...think of it as advertising, and post early and often (directions on how to do that are at the end of this letter). I hope we can work together and create a great reference for anyone researching genealogy in Fayette Co. Any 'flaming' or personal attacks will not be permitted...let's all play nicely, remember to take a deep breath and smile! You've already successfully subscribed to the list, or else you would not have received this message. However, should you have to resubscribe at any point (after having had too many messages being bounced from your mailbox, for example) remember the following: KYFAYETT-L-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM with only the word subscribe in the message portion of your email will subscribe you to the list in 'mail mode' KYFAYETT-D-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM with only the word subscribe in the message portion of your email will subscribe you to the list in 'digest mode' The difference between 'mail mode' and 'digest mode' is simple: 'mail mode' sends every message to you as they are indiviually sent, 'digest mode' makes a bundle of messages and sends them out in a packet. To change the mode in which you receive the messages, please unsubscribe from the one you currently receive, and subscribe to the other. To unsubscribe, please use the same addresses as above (KYFAYETT-L-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM for list mode; KYFAYETT-D-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM for digest mode) with only the word unsubscribe in the message portion of your email. Also, there is no mode for not receiving mail, so if you wish to stop the mail for a while (like the length of a vacation) just unsubscribe and then resubscribe later. And, last but certainly not least: Posting directions! All postings to the list should be addressed to KYFAYETT-L@ROOTSWEB.COM It matters not if you are subscribed in 'mail mode' or 'digest mode', the address is the same. However, if you are in 'digest mode' you may not see your own posting until the bundle of messages has been formed and sent out. Thanks for signing on, and good luck! 1. [KYFAYETT] KY research & NATHANIEL DUNN; Madison Co, KY> Fayette Co, KY> Montgomery Co, IN
    2. The Goszka's
    3. Hi, While I have been on other mailing lists, I am new to this list and to KY genealogy. I thought I would take this moment to post my Fayette Co, KY line and to ask where I go from here. I am also posting this to the Madison Co, KY list so I apologize if you get it twice. I am looking for Nathaniel A. DUNN (b: Abt. 1790 in KY) married either 27 Sept. 1814 or 27 Dec 1814 in Madison Co, KY to Sophia W. IRVINE (b: Abt. 1794 in VA). On 26 Aug 1820 near Lexington, Fayette Co, KY they had Martha Ann DUNN (d: Feb 1904 in Thorntown, Boone Co, IN - married Horace C. WHEELER 1846 in Montgomery Co, IN). I believe it is possible that they also had James E. DUNN (b. abt 1817 in KY), Miriam W. DUNN, Sarah Ellen DUNN & Williamson DUNN. All the above named "children" were married in Montgomery Co, IN between 1840-1850. Martha is the only one that I have been able to connect with Nathaniel & Sophia as of yet though. I have located a Nathan DUNN in Madison Co, KY in the 1820 Census (I have not yet actually seen the census to find how old the members of the house hold were - I know this census only lists head of household). Also, I have located a Nathaniel A. DUNN in Montgomery Co, IN in both the 1830 & 1840 census (again I haven't actually seen these two census records to see the ages of the house hold members). I was unable to find him in IN in 1850, but did find him (I think) in 1860 in Montgomery Co, IN. Does this family sound familiar to anyone? Does anyone know if I would be able to get a copy of the marriage record for Nathaniel & Sophia and if it might possible have the parent's names listed? Can anyone help point me in the right direction to try and find more on Nathaniel & Sophia? As I said I am new to KY research and any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Kris Goszka in VA

    1. [KYFAYETT] A Census Lookup Request
    2. Hello, I am in a dilemma trying to find out who was my great great grandfather's second wife. He was William Pritchart m. America Grimes in 1815. America Grimes died in 1828. At least one know child was born named William. There was a second marriage after 1928 to exactly who I don't know. If any kind researcher with access to census records please perhaps find who he was living with as a wife after 1928. I believe the area of Fayette he was living in later became Bourbon County - jus a thought. There is a possible connection to the Estes and Adams family. Please someone give me just a first name and I will be happy. Thanks so much. Annabelle
