In the database in my signature file I have a list of children of Benjamin Robinson and Mildred Burbridge and some of their children's marriages. He was a Revolutionary War veteran and was either a friend or relation of my ancestor, William Davis, who named one of his sons Benjamin Robinson Davis. They lived near David's Fork Baptist Church, which is several miles due east of Lexington. Other families in the area that I can recall include Estes, Mitchell, Adams, McCann, Haley, and Hughes. H and J Clifford had done a lot of looking at these Robinsons, trying to see what the relationship was of this Robinson to their Joseph Robinson, who lived in the same area. I have two email addresses for them: H &J Clifford <jhcliff@pop.telusplanet.net> H &J Clifford <jhcliff@mail.planet.eon.net> And the church has done a great job, in putting their early church records on the internet: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Meadows/5400/history.html But many names of the earliest list of male members of the church were lost in a fire. Hello, Have been studying Benjamin Robinson Sr., Benjamin Robinson Jr. - reading their wills, probate records, etc., and am confused about their ancestry. I found one Benjamin who married a Mildred Burbridge, Agnes Waller, Polly Unknown, Mary Polly Beatty, Polly McCann and a few names that have me confused. Would like to hear from somone studying this line as I believe my Pritchartt family connects , just don't know how. Benjamin Robinson was bondsman at the marriage of Ann Pritchartt and Clayborne Mitchell in 1812. This had to be the Sr. Benjamin Robinson by the date but not sure. Perhaps there were many Benjamin Robinsons living in Fayette County KY.? Looking forward to connecting with researchers. Anne Rupert Pritchartt (spelled many ways)
In the 1830s in Lexington James M. Beach, a saddle and Harness maker was the primary owner of a company in Lexington called Kelsey & Beach - saddle, harness and trunk manufacturers. James Beach also owned a livery stable in Lexington and had a brother named Joseph Beach. Can anyone provide any information on these men or the company Kelsey & Beach. Sincerely, MichaelAnne Guido
Richard Ashton and Joseph Beach owned Ashton and Beach. They were famous coachmakers in Lexington in the early nineteenth century. Richard Ashton died of Cholera in 1833. Does anyone have any information on this company or its owners? Sincerely, MichaelAnne Guido
I am seeking information on the two individuals listed in the following marriage record. Henry Beach married Mrs. Sally Stafford on March 26, 1834. I am seeking any information on the parents of either party. These are my ggggrandparents. Henry Beach moved around and ended up in Grant County living in Elliston, KY by 1870. He was born in 1810 probably in Fayette (family tradition stated Woodford) County. His son James Beach was born in Woodford County, KY on Dec. 18, 1846. I am trying to identify the wife of Henry Beach. There was a Mary Stafford born 1800 in Kentucky living with the family in 1870. She appears to be connected to Henry's wife. Any help with this family would be greatly appreciated. I have a listing of children of this couple. Sincerely, MichaelAnne Guido
The Kearby or Kerby families are in Jessamine and Woodford Counties. I would be interested in what you have on them. Their line was often really a Kersey and they mixed the names up. This happened in Jessamine County all the time. I appreciate your help. Sincerely, MichaelAnne
Well, I dug out the notes on what I had thought was a Kersey but it turned out to be a Kerby in Woodford Co. If you still have any interest in this I'll send you what I have.

Ella, I believe I said something like: For those of you interested in the Bosworth name, the first (I believe) Episcopal bishop of the diocese that is now Lexington was named Benjamin Bosworth Smith. He lived in the area in in the 1830's and was responsible for starting the now-defunct Episcopal Seminary in Kentucky in Lexington. VAThomson did NOT ask that question, unicorn@ezworks.net did...... In a message dated 7/4/00 9:29:31 AM, dpostie@wichita.infi.net writes: <<VAThomson asks if it is common for the spelling of a last name to be changed shomehow. The POSTLETHWAITE family name has been spelled more than 1,000 ways, according to a published book. Never assume that a surname can be spelled only ONE way.>>

Are there any listings for SNEDAKER in the above listed Records? Thank you so very much. Cathy.
THank you so much. My mother's mother was a Mary Asbury who married a Blythe, who then remarried Squire HILL and then had my mother, Margaret, Frances, Elizebeth HIll in 1911. Any info on any of these pople would e greatly appreciated. Thanks
I would be truly appreciative of any notes on the Woodford Co. Kersey line. To the best of my knowledge the Kerseys lived in Jessamine County, KY. If there are Kerseys in Woodford they are probably from the same family line. Thank you so much! Sincerely, MichaelAnne
I have some notes re: Kerseys in Woodford Co. and will have to look them up. Not sure there is a connection but it's worth some looking.
I believe those of you interested in Benjamin Bosworth should be aware of the fact that one of the early Episcopal bishops of the diocese of Kentucky/Lexington was Benjamin Bosworth Smith. This was in the 1830's I believe. He founded the now defunct Episcopal Theological Seminary in Kentucky in Lexington. Hi Everyone, While searching the Kentucky Death Index on line, I found an Allie Sinclair "Allie Sinclair d. 06 May 1935 Fayette Co. 87 Years old". This person is approximately the right age to be Allie Rose, who was born 1849 in neighboring Woodford Co, dtr of Thomas and Malinda Rose. The Rose family lived in Fayette and Woodford Co. circa 1800-1900. I have not yet found a marriage record for Allie, so this is just a hunch. Does anyone know of any marriages in the Sinclair family about 1870 that would fit this profile? I also wanted to give you a heads up on a new database at www.ancestry.com that is free until 7/10, called Gene Pool Individual Records. This project started out as a genetic research project, but they ended up gathering so much information, that Ancestry bought the data. You can search by name and / or locality. A simple search of just Fayette KY turned up 2,985 references. Thank you for your help. Terri Walker
Thanks to Roxanne for going beyond looking for McKinney form. Roxanne, I think you have given us a Bosworth we do not have. If the F stands for Felix, I believe you have helped solve a puzzle of a missing "Felix". I did find Collin and Nancy McKinney in "book" of marriages but do not have a copy of the marriage record. The Kentucky Bosworths are my ancestors. Benajah Bosworth's granddaughter, Ella Mae (Mary Ellen)Bosworth married Milton F. RYMAN in Nashville, TN in 1872. They were my grandparents. ----- Original Message ----- From: <ROGUE8357@aol.com> To: <KYFAYETT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, July 02, 2000 10:42 PM Subject: Re: [KYFAYETT] WALNUT HILLS PRESBY.
