1. [KYFAYETT] Questions regarding the DANIELS migration from Indiana to Oklahoma
2. Dennis W. Stein
3. Hello All, I have had the extreme pleasure to have been able to spend a few weeks picking my mothers memory and the following information was passed to her by my Grand Mother Bonnie Bell DANIELS-STEIN. I am questioning the following information and asking for help and assistance in verifying the information with all available records. 1. William Henry Harrison DANIELS, was to have migrated by covered wagon with his daughters Blanche, Kate, and one other daughter - name unknown. 2. After the death of his wife JULIA ANN BIGGS-DANIELS, died 28 February 1901. 3. They migrated from Grassy Forks, Jackson County, Indiana to Anadarko, Caddo County, Oklahoma abt 1903. 4. Lee DANIELS the son William Henry Harrison DANIELS and Julia Ann BIGGS was to have stayed behind and taught College/School in Brownstown, Jackson County, Indiana. 5. Blanche DANIELS was supposedly never married and had no children. She lived and died in Anadarko, Caddo County, Oklahoma. 6. Kate DANIELS was supposedly married to an officer that was attached to Fort Smith Oklahoma who was a member of the masons. They both raised a little girl that was left on their door step name-unknown. 7. The third daughter name-unknown supposedly lived and died in Kansas City Kansas/Missouri. 8. There is a small museum near the rail road track that we visited when I was younger that has furniture and other items that belonged to the DANIELS. I do know that William Henry Harrison DANIELS born 1850 in Kentucky, died 1918, buried in Russell Chapel Cemetery, Jackson County, Indiana. William Henry Harrison DANIELS married Julia Ann BIGGS born 1851, died 28 February, 1901, buried in Russell Chapel Cemetery, Jackson County, Indiana. They where married 28 May 1871 in Jackson County, Indiana. Thank you for your help and assistance in advance, Dennis W. 1. [KYFAYETT] Early Families of Bourbon County, Kentucky, Project
2. Bob Francis
3. Fellow researchers, Just a note to report that I have now completed the research phase of the "Early Families of Bourbon County, Kentucky: 1775-1820." I set the date of June 30, 2000, as the final deadline for data received from fellow researchers, and will now begin the difficult task of inputting all of the data into my computer. I figure this task will take about three months. Once I complete the inputting phase of the project, I will begin writing the book(s). I want to thank all who so generously opened your research to me and who sent the many volumes of information. Just to let you know how much has stacked up over the past several months, I now have five large three-ring binders filled with data plus literally hundreds of pages of data scanned from the John Fox, Jr., library in Paris, Kentucky (I spent 18 hours while in Bourbon County at the end of June scanning text!). Add to this about 50 huge word processing documents sitting in a folder on my computer, and you can imagine the massive amount of information remaining to be processed. The end result of all of this research should be the most complete and comprehensive treatment of the history and genealogy of the early families of Bourbon County, Kentucky, ever attempted. Though I do not have exact number, I estimate that the book (or books), once completed, will list in excess of 40,000 names. This will include descendants of these early families from the earliest period to the present day. It will be the first attempt ever to bring together all of the families and show the complex interrelationships that emerged from the intermarriages over the course of the past two hundred plus years. As I draw near to the completion of this project, I will begin to compile a list of folks interested in purchasing the books. I realize that this is a free-from-advertisement forum and mention of selling books is forbidden. Therefore, I will not advertise the book on these lists. However, I also know that serious researchers *want* to purchase good books in the areas of their interest. To satisfy both sides, I will create a web page providing the full details, including cost, number and size of the books, etc. Those who wish to visit the site may do so. As I input the data I will, of course, continue to update the material posted for downloading on my "Early Families of Bourbon County, Kentucky, web site. 1. Re: [KYFAYETT] Benjamin Robinson Ancestry
2. Hello to all, Receiving a lot of feedback on my above query. Benjamin Robinson Sr. was the Rev War veteran. His wives have been listed as Mildred Burbridge Ellis (widow of Hezekiah Ellis) with Benjamin Robinson her second. A family Bible documents this and also the David Fork's Church records support this. Mildred would have been the mother of all the children if I understand this. Benjamin Robinson is also listed as having a wife named Agnes as mentioned in the following record from Fayette County Deeds. She was Agnes Waller and married Benjamin Robinson in 1811 Fayette County. If I have this correctly, there were no children from this marriage. The following record written in 1820 mentions two adult female slaves, named "Milley and Agnes" probably named after the referenced wives. Thanks to all who responded - think I am straightened out now. Anne Rupert Fayette County, Kentucky Deed Book U, pages 76, 77 Benjamin Robinson [Sr] to his heirs, 10 July 1820 Memorandum of agreement made and entered into between Benjamin Robinson of the County of Fayette and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Polley McCann the heirs of Nancy Mitchell deceased begotten of her body John Robinson Benj Robinson James Robinson Charles Robinson Martin Moor and Boswell Mitchell heirs of said Benjamin of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of five hundred Dollars paid annually to him the Said Benjamin during his natural life hereby sells to the heirs aforesaid negro man named Sam and Manuel and Jacob a boy named Dick a woman Agness another named Milley a boy named Anderson and Maria Sela Eliza Jane and Sally girls also two thirds of the tract of land whereon said Benjamin now lives bounded by John Robinson, Joseph Robinson Stephen Franklin and James Robinson together with all the horses, cattle, sheep, hogs, house hold kitchen and farming utensils, except that which Agness Robinson wife of Said Benjamin possessed previous to their marriage which property him the said Benjamin hereby obliges himself to warrant and forever defend to them the heirs aforesaid from the claim or claims of every person persons whatever claiming by or through him or his heirs and no others; as witness our hands this 10th day of July 1820 Benjamin (X) Robinson Seal Test Martin Moore Seal James True [?Sr/Jr] Polly McCann Seal Anthony Poole Boswell Mitchell Seal for the heirs of Nancy Mitchell, deceased John Robinson Seal Benjamin Robinson Seal Charles Robinson Seal James Robinson Seal Boswell Mitchell Seal State of Kentucky Fayette County clerk's office towit October 3rd 1820 This Article of Agreement between Benjamin senior his son Charles and others was produced to me the clerk of the Court for the County aforesaid on the 10th day of July 1820 and acknowledged by said Benjamin Robinson senior and James Robinson and on the 19th of the same month and year by Polly McCann and said Charles Robinson on the 29th of August 1820 by Boswell Mitchell for himself and the heirs of Nancy Mitchell deceased on the 8th of September 1820 by John Robinson the 11th of the same month and year by Martin Moore and on this day by Benjamin Robinson jr all parties thereto to be their act and Deed for the purpose therein mentioned and the same thereupon truly recorded in my office Att J. 2. Hello Joan, Thank you for responding and I must say your data makes more sense than any account of Benjamin Robinson's history so far. I am going to go over everything I have again, the Davis Fork Church records, wills, etc., and see what I come up with. My ancestors, last name Pritchartt, ( and always spelled incorrectly as Prickett, Pricher, Pritchard, Pritchett) was among the early settlers of Fayette and Bourbon County, however they left a difficult path to follow. The name shows up among all the familiar names, Adams, Estes, Robinson, Wilson, Mitchell, and a few more, however I cannot tie anything together yet. By studying some of the familiar names, death dates and etc, I hope to discover something. Thanks again, Anne Rupert

2. On our web page, Cousin Margaret SHIPP Henley has all the children of Benjamin & Mildred (Burbridge) Ellis Robinson. Mild red B. Ellis Robinson http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~bianco/Resources/mburbridge.html ~Virginia Thomson Baldwin In a message dated 7/7/00 8:56:34 PM, jhcliff@pop.telusplanet.net writes: <<Saw your post to the KyFayette list re Benjamin Robinson etc. I am descended from Joseph Robinson who lived on an adjacent farm (in the David's fork area of North Elkhorn Creek) to Benjamin Robinson (the Rev War Vet) who married 1st Mildred Burbridge and second Agnes Waller in 1811. Probably this Benjamin and my Joseph Robinson were related at a deed states they bought land together. My-line Joseph Robinson named his wife as Molly in his will written in 1819. Joseph's son John Robinson married Sarah Berry of Clark County and she was a twin sister to Fanny G. Berry who married John Robinson, son of Benjamin Robinson and Mildred Burbridge. Both marriages in 1802. Another son of Joseph Robinson was Dudley Robinson who married Elizabeth Cusenberry (daughter of Vincent Cusenberry and Mary Davis) and they moved to Logan County, Ky. about 1826. One of Benjamin Robinson (the Rev War Vet) and Mildred Burbridge's daughters was Polly McCann. Benjamin Robinson (the Rev War Vet, 1752-1835) had son named Benjamin who wrote his will in November of 1824 and which was probated in January 1825. Benjamin Robinson married Mary, also called Polly, who, I've been told was Polly Beatty. Mary Robinson, who I take to be Benjamin's widow, is included in the various deeds in which Benjamin (the Rev War Vet) transfers his lands and property to his heirs. Mary "Polly" Robinson died in 1844. Benjamin [Jr] and Polly Robinson also had a son named Benjamin F., but that would be too late to be compounding any confusion for you over the various Benjamins. But I believe Benjamin Robinson, son of the Rev War Vet Benjamin Robinson and Mildred Burbridge, would have been an adult in 1812. For one thing he had a married daughter in 1824 when he wrote his will. And another thing would be that his mother, Mildred Burbridge, was at least 5 years older than her second husband, Benjamin Robinson and she would have been getting a bit old to have had children much after 1890. There was a Lewis Robinson who lived in the Davis's fork area and he died between the 1810 census and 1822, but probably before 1817. He had a son named Benjamin who was not of age when his father died. This younger Benjamin married Mariah Young of Clark County about 1828. Lewis Robinson married Mary Estes. I don't recall if the records show her at times as Polly. Mary (Estes) Robinson married second Thomas Hall (as I believe, having only the marriage bond record to quote). There is a record in Order Book 9, page 77, of 1834, that mentions ... On the orders of Nancy Mitchell, Guardian to the heirs of Claiborn Mitchell, it is ordered that Jacob Hughs, Gilson Berryman, Ambrose Hailey, and Roger Robinson be appointed to allot said heirs their portion of the estate of Richard Mitchell, deceased. ......Can you explain these relationships to me? I would be grateful if you would. Was this Nancy Mitchell a Robinson?. Roger Robinson was a son of William Robinson and Lucy (possibly Mallory, daughter of Roger Mallory). This William Robinson died about 1802 according to deed records, leaving sons, John (b 1889); Roger (b 1890); Joseph (d 1828); and William (no mention of any daughters).
