    3. I have Richard Taliaferro marrying Rose Berryman on Jun 10, 1726. Don't know where, but since all their children were born in Caroline Co., VA they were probably married in VA. She is from Westmoreland Co and he is from Essex Co. I believe this information came from either an ancestry.com database or a roots web database or books that I have about the Stribling Family who married into the Taliaferro line. pat ----- Begin Included Message ----- From KYFAYETT-L-request@rootsweb.com Wed Jul 19 10:37:41 2000 Resent-Date: Wed, 19 Jul 2000 09:40:10 -0700 X-Original-Sender: bmarco_1@yahoo.com Wed Jul 19 09:40:10 2000 X-Apparently-From: <bmarco?1@yahoo.com> Message-ID: <011201bff19a$8f12e120$1019d7d1@rm> Reply-To: "Barbara Marcovecchio" <bmarco_1@yahoo.com> From: "Barbara Marcovecchio" <bmarco_1@yahoo.com> Old-To: <KYFAYETT-L@rootsweb.com> Subject: Re: [KYFAYETT] Roll Call Date: Wed, 19 Jul 2000 12:01:07 -0400 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 5.00.2919.6600 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.00.2919.6600 Resent-Message-ID: <AMtJS.A.wAD.qndd5@lists5.rootsweb.com> To: KYFAYETT-L@rootsweb.com Resent-From: KYFAYETT-L@rootsweb.com X-Mailing-List: <KYFAYETT-L@rootsweb.com> archive/latest/709 X-Loop: KYFAYETT-L@rootsweb.com Resent-Sender: KYFAYETT-L-request@rootsweb.com Content-Length: 1167 Tanya, You wouldn't happen to have a Rose Anne Berryman married to a Richard Taliaferro would you. 2. Any variation of the spelling would include: Motterheads, Mottersheved, Mottershedde, de Mottersheved, Mottram, de Mottram, Modisett, etc. "The name is composed of the ancient Saxon personal name of Modhere which means "courageous army" and head or heved which is a shortened term for "Headland." <<MOTHERSHEAD/MOTHERHEAD family - *any* spelling :) Don't believe my direct line came through Fayette, but do believe his siblings/cousins did.>>

    3. Hi Jo Ann Hmmmm. Well, I don't have any Johns or Roberts in my file, but I don't have many LINDSAYs anyway. William b 1727 in PA married Margaret EWING. I have five children for them: Henry, William, Jane, James and Elizabeth. Henry married Elizabeth CULBERTSON, William married Margaret ___?, Jane married Andrew STEELE (my line), James married Hetty FLOYD?, and Elizabeth married Col Robert PATTERSON (also my line). I have no more information about the William who married Margaret ___?. In fact, these Williams and Margarets are really confusing, because three generations of Williams married Margarets in a row...Robert could be the son of William and Margaret ___?, based on the dates (and grandson of William b in PA). I bet we are connected, but we're missing one more piece in the puzzle. You say you believe your LINDSAYs were related to the STEELEs and PATTERSONs, would that only be true if Robert was the son of William, or do you have other clues that lead to that? I'm very interested in connecting this! Thanks, and good luck, Christine Jo Ann wrote: > > Christine: > I also have Lindsay in Fayette Co., Ky. My line is Robert T.
