    1. [KYFAYETT] ROLL CALL and the 1790 & 1820 Census index lookups
    2. Christine
    3. Hi list! This is Christine, your friendly (and kinda sheepish) listowner! Yes, there are two Christines on the mailing list, and I'm the one who offered to do lookups for the 1790 and 1820 (KY) Census indexes I have. I promise I will get them to you, but I'm still two papers and two sets of exercises away from free time. I was hoping to have some time over Thanksgiving, but things got complicated between my grandmother, parents, cousins, and an Aunt & Uncle who 'dropped by' from 600 miles away... The lookups are coming, I still have the requests! Meanwhile, maybe we should have a Roll Call? We've had some turn-over in the list members, and I know there are lots and lots of folks who still haven't posted their interests! Think of it as advertising--nobody will give you that vital tidbit of information unless they KNOW you're looking for the WHOSIFRAMUS surname!!! Hope you all had a peaceful & family filled Thanksgiving, Christine

From: "Barbara O'Nan" <bonan@ix.netcom.com> To: <jlktrees@aol.com> Subject: Ky death record Date: Thursday, November 23, 2000 12:24 AM Jerilyn, You can order the death certificate from the Office of Vital Statistics, Kentucky Department of Health Services, 275 East Main St., Frankfort, Ky 40621 (believe cost is $6.00). A letter is sufficient if you include the information they need. The following is information from the Kentucky Death Index which you will need to order the certificate: Monroe, Jefferson P., died Fayette Co, Ky Dec. 4, 1957 at age 78. Death Vol: 052 Death Cert: 25961 The certificate should give parents names, including mother's maiden name, and where they were born. Date of birth and death and where he was born, name of informant who is probably a close relative, and the place where he is buried, etc. Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: <Jlktrees@aol.com> To: <KYFAYETT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, November 22, 2000 6:48 PM Subject: Re: [KYFAYETT] DEATH RECORDS > Thank you Tammy. 2. Jerilyn, most libraries have a book that has in it applications for each state for birth, death, and divorce records. I forget the name of the book, but it is usually in the geneology section of the library. Fill out as much as you can and i think it costs $9.00 and mail it to Frankfort, KY. Hope this helps. Tammy

    2. Thank you Tammy. We have many states that make it so hard to get certificates and Illinois is one of them, especially Cook Co. The photos were taken in the mid-1940s by Lafayette Studios of Lexington, Kentucky. Both are labeled with the names of the subjects. The names are not familiar to me.
