    1. Re: [KYFAYETT] Dudley CURLE (CURL)
    2. Have you checked 1850 and 1860 census for this family which would show the childlren by name and age? Census records prior to 1850 list only the head of the house by name and all others by age and sex categories. There are printed indexes in most Genealogical Libraries, or sections of Public Libraries which can save you time in locating the right page number for the ones you seek. Each census gives more detailed information than the previous one, but they only occur every ten years, beginning in 1790. Hope the New Year brings you health and happiness and more information on those you seek. I have a brick wall in Fayette Co, KY with John Jameson who died there by 1802. If you run across his name in your searching, I'd appreciate hearing from you. If I see your Curle (Curl), I'll send you a message. There was a Curl family in Baldwin County, Georgia in the 1940s and earlier which may or may not have been connected to yours. Billie

    3. Hi Billie. I didn't add that my Dudley Curl moved on to Indiana about 1818 and was there till 1828. I can prove that but the period between 1771 and 1818 is a big blank spot!!!! Yep, there is another family branch in GA and Arkansas moving across MS to TX. The Dudley family went to Indiana then MO and Oregon. Stan

Penelope born 1776 Boonesboro, Montgomery Cty, KY, died Mar 17, 1863, Wakenda Twp, Carroll Cty. MO. Known to have been in Estill, Clark, Montgomery Ctys. possibly Mt. Stirling area.
