    3. Doris, I was just reading through emails and saw you post about Mary Emily marrying, possibly, James Sullivan. I checked Ancestry and came up with that information. No date or place, but it did list their one child. His name was James D. Sullivan and he married Ann Elizabeth Roberts and it shows one child for them, Eulah Elton Sullivan. Eulah is shown as being married three times. First to Ellis May, then Charles Crutchfield and finally to Robert Rice. Don't know if this means anything to you or not but I'll send it along. Jim in Michigan -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Version: 7.1.362 / Virus Database: 267.13.11/191 - Release Date: 12/2/2005

    1. Re: [KYFAYETT] 1810 Census; Question
    2. I do not know abt PA and KY, but in some southern states when a man sold land he purchased during marriage, his wife would file on the same page, or the one following, the relinquishment of her "right of dower." That would have just her married name, but at least you would have a Christian name to her. I thought when I got my folks and my husband's back to PA, I would have it made. Not so! The poor old Southland kept earlier and more complete records than PA did and a lot of the New England states. I found that if you had German, or PA Dutch people you might find church records of marriages. And another way is to hope her father left her something in his will, and someone will post names of heirs and you will find her under her married name. You could wait a long time, I can tell you, but sometime what you want will eventually show up. It has happened to me, and I am still waiting for some others. Good Luck, Carleen
