Does the Manley book contain any DAVIS, PARRISH or WARE families? Thanks, Jim _________________________________________________________________ Search—Your way, your world, right now! http://imagine-windowslive.com/minisites/searchlaunch/?locale=en-us&FORM=WLMTAG
I found a card stock advertisement in a box of photographs. On one side is a photograph of a Colonial lady and on the other on a pink background with an illustration of a camera, a pallet, a paint box, and flowers the following advertisement: "Mullen, Artist Photographer. No 5 West Main Street, Lexington, Ky." My parents were students at UK and Transylvania College in the late 20's and early thirties. This seems from that time period. Can anyone connect with this Mullen Family?
Does this book contain any Pattersons? Mine are found in Shelby, Spencer, Muhlenberg and Ohio counties. Muhlenberg and Ohio are after 1854, Shelby and Spencer are prior to that Migration. Info about the family of Col. Robert Patterson, founder of Lexington, is also welcome. Especially, his half brothers William and Arthur Patterson, both settled in Shelby Co. Thanks in advance. -- Rob -------------- Original message -------------- From: bmoran0016@aol.com > I just received my copy of a new book entitled "The James Manley Family". You may be interested in two recent additions to the Fayette County page. First, there is a new local cemetery group that is collecting information on deaths and burials at Eastern State Hospital (ESH) located in Lexington, Kentucky. Established in 1824 as the second "lunatic asylum" in the United States, ESH was in service to the entire state. Mary Hatton has taken on the enormous task of compiling information from Kentucky death certificates showing ESH as the place of death. She has completed the list for 1911 and it's now available through Fayette County KYGenWeb and will be placed on other sites as well. The list includes a decedent's dates of birth and death, death certificate number, age, race, and place of burial. Also, the volume in the Fayette County Clerk's Office labeled Colored Marriage Declarations is now transcribed and online. Entries were made in this book between 1866-1908 and typically show the husband's name, the wife's maiden name, and when and where the couple was married or began living together as man and wife. First of All. Where did this Gentleman live? Jeff
We plan to go to KY to research our Noe Family, but we aren't sure where to begin. We have a John M. Noe that was supposedly a preacher and he eventually moved to Clark County, IN and died in 1844. He was born in ca 1795. On census records we find John M. living near John Noe. How can I find out if he is his son? The old census doesn't help with this. Where can I find Poll Tax records to see if John M. would be under John's name? John M. married Mary Ann Amos Rush and Sarah Camper Matthews. Jeannie Noe Carlisle
Dear Listers: Does anyone know anything about Samuel and Sarah Gregory who were believed to have been in Fayette County from about 1785 to about 1800? They later moved to Butler County, Ohio. Thanking you all for your help. Sincerely, Janice Connell Whidbey Island, Washington State
