Dear Carol, Please don't let one uninterested "apple" spoil our whole bunch of people who are interested in your continuing to give us insight as to what a common, hard working man,his family, neighbors, and relatives went through in their days of pioneering in Daviess County, Kentucky. I find it very informative and interesting what a hard working man Davis was and his honorable quest in helping his fellow man, be it for money or friendship. You certainly don't find much of that these days. My MAY family migrated to Daviess County from Virginia.. Your entries let me imagine what my ancestors went though in those days. I want to thank you for what you've done for those who are interested in learning their family trials and tribulations of the 1800's.
