October 1857 Sun 18 I was at meeting at Calhoun ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Mo 19 I attended presbytery it was a rainy morning ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Tue 20 We got through with our business in Presbytery and at 1 oclock I started for home and got home at 11 oclock at night John harrowed in wheet for Wm Winkler ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- We 21 We fixed around and I gathered apples John harrowed for Wm Winkler a part of the evening ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Thu 22 We made a hog pen and put up our hogs and after dinner we faned our oats and halled them to the house Ephraim helped us a little while in the evening ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Fri 23 I went to George Husks to get him to come and get his oats and went on to William Winklers after roles and in the evening I killed a mutton John finished harrowing for William Winkler ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Sat 24 We cut and hallled the corn out of the new ground and late in the evening I went to Knottsville to get my boots but they was not done
