Does anybody know anything about the newest upgrade to AOL Instant Messenger? I almost had my system back up and running almost correctly, then reinstalled the newest upgrade to AOL Instant Messenger, and started having failures again, particularly in my mouse drivers, which cascaded into complete system failures. I think I may have averted the same problems that have been plagueing me for a week, by shutting off, rebooting, and using the keyboard (but not the mouse) to get it uninstalled and reinstalling my mouse software from scratch. That seems to be the only consistent thing in these repeated crashes and problems the last two weeks. This has caused me two weeks of pain and anguish, including 2 hard crive crashes, 3 reformats and 3 reinstallations of Windows 98. If you have not downloaded version 3.5 of AOL Instant Messenger, DON'T! If you know anything about it, please contact me. I hope that I will be able to get the e-mail.
