I have posted a picture of James Thomas Whitmer and a young unidentified girl at http://www.myfamily.com/security/new.asp?ID=39074ACAAF7C146&C=MI1808554 I believe the photo was taken ca 1923 in Owensboro. James Whitmer was the son of John R. Whitmer who was killed in Owensboro in 1923 and Lillian Whitmer who died in 1944. His siblings were Letitia Whitmer Kirk and Rev. Marvin Brown Whitmer. His wife was Ruby Frank Whitmer. He attended Owensboro Senior High School and was graduated about 1924. James was the night editor for the Owensboro Messenger and Inquirer for a number of years.
