Hello! I'm delighted to let you know that there are a number of exciting improvements to the website "William Haynes of Colonial Virginia," <www.haynesfamily.com> which was last updated over a year ago. I think you will enjoy re-visiting the site for the following reasons: MORE DATA 1. Over 400 new individual relatives have been added bring with them 150+ new surnames -- the site now lists 2660 people. 2. I've expanded the write-ups on the first three generations of my direct line, William, Henry, and John Haynes, providing some insights into their daily family lives in early America. 3. I've added a new page discussing William's possible brothers Henry (1701-1782), and Jasper (1715-1782), as well as the popular, but false notion that all three were the sons of a John Haynes born in 1670 in Bedford County. 4. The three-generation pedigree charts for each member of the group now show birth, marriage and death dates where known. 5. Better data, including feedback from many of you, has allowed the correction of a number of errors. 6. An explanation of the reason William Haynes seemingly had a middle initial "W." 7. The page of links to other useful sites has been expanded and re-organized. NAVIGATION 1. A new page helps navigate my direct line - it shows the eight generations from my grandfather's great-grandfather thru me to my son JLH IV. 2. You can now look for a person by individual as well as browsing surnames. I welcome your comments: E-Mail to John@Haynes.Net Tell me what's good, what's not so good; what's missing, wrong, or misleading; what's overdone, or which links are not working.
