McDaniel is probably Reason McDaniel , a neighbor. Mary Tucker is his sister-in-law, daughter of EWillis John Black. G. Husk is probably George another neighbor he sees frequently. Cornelius Barker married Rachel Barnett in Daviess County in 1832. Rachel and Davis' mother, Elizabeth, were daughters of Solomon Barnett. The Elizabeth he mentions is his wife, Elizabeth Black Douthitt.
