February 1858 Su 21 I rained awhile and then went to snowing and snowed about 10 inches deep we did not get home ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Mo 22 I came home after a sled to fetch my folks home Charley is sick ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Tues 23 I helped SW Allen finish a sled to hall my folks home and went over to Jones after them Charley is no better ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- We 24 We come home in the warm part of the evening and then I went to Knottsville after the doctor ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Thu 25 John went to mill got no grinding I cut some wood and half soled my sled Charley is better ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Fri 26 I finished a tung for my sled and at 9 oclock went to help James Richmond tare down and move his house John halled wood until dinner after dinner I halled some logs for Richmond ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Sat 27 I helped Richmond raise his house and rafter it John halled some wood and fodder ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Charley is his baby son born in June of 1857
