Carol: Thanks for all the hard work you've done in order to bring us a peek into the life of Davis and many of his friends and neighbors. No small task indeed. Davis and the others were a hard working lot, and the manner in which they all traded work is admirable. Especially when we consider the environment in which they had to work at times. It has been particularly interesting since my husbands ancestors lived this same life at this same time in this same general area. It was almost as if I were reading about them.
