I noticed that Davis Douthitt went over to help Mr John Richmond "Bleed" his colt. I do know that I once saw an unusual device that was a triangular shaped and was used to cut a horse right below and behind the horses ancle in order to make the horse Bleed. The man that owned that device knew what it was used for but did not know why it was necessary to make the horse bleed. Does anyone out there know why this was done?
