    3. Try the search engines at USGenWeb. They are great. You can do a state by state search or use the national search engine. There are many records online if you just search. Often times you need to use your Edit/ Find/ Search in your browser to find the word you are looking for faster (usually the surname, but could be other words as well). The URL is: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ All the search engines are at this page. Book mark each individual search engine would be my suggestion, as sometimes, this site seems to be inaccessible - probably because of the heavy traffic, yet I can access some of the other engines when I use just their page to access. You can type in surname, or county, or census records, etc. They have suggestions for how to use the search engines which you may want to read first. Another good search sight is: http://www.genealogyportal . This site has 8 different search engines, so be sure to read how to use it. You have to click on the links for each page and search from that site, whether it be by name, or for records, etc........

    3. I did make a mistake on the one URL. I am so sorry. That's what I get for doing things in a rush. It should read: http://www.genealogyportal.com Sorry. A couple of people wrote to me about it, and I did not catch that I had left off the dot com part of the url. Try it you will like it!
