Sunday February the 1st 1857 Su 1 I staid at home all day ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Mo 2 I cut and split a few rails and piddled around ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Tu 3 I halled some fodder and corn out of the field ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- We 4 I halled corn and fodder out of the field John helped me we shocked it out in the corner of the field and fenced it in and finished gathering corn ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Thu 5 I went to Thomas Heads after Elizabeth and Nancy and then went to the blacksmith shop to get my horse shod and axe up set but did not get it done and bought a wagon from John G Wilkinson. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Fri 6 I got a pole to make a tung for my trucks and made it and fixed it up for halling ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Sat 7 It was very windy We cut wood at the wood pile and in the evening it rained ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- Elizabeth and Nancy were his wife and sister-in-law.
