I have a little info on Coleman Fuqua, but there may have been more than one with that name in Daviess County at the same time. I have assumed Coleman was brother of John Smith Fuqua, s/o Sam Fuqua & Nancy Wells. My ancestor, Mary Elizabeth, d/o J.S., w/o J.R. Thompson, named a son Coleman. In 1876, Coleman owned farm adjoining J.S. On 1850 Census : Fuqua, Coleman 22, Delphina 19, James H. 1/2 In '99 I rcvd frm robykamp@bellsouth.net some notes that include: Coleman Fuqua, b. 6-17-1826 in Henry Co., KY, bur. Cooper Cemetery, near Whitesville in 1876. They also show: "Notes on Richard Booker Fuqua: Listed in 1850 census as unmarried- living at home with parents ? and as Richard C."
