Thank you, Pamela, for the information on the "falls of Rough." Can you tell me whether it is pronounced as "Row" (rhymes with Cow) or as "Ruff?" I have a g-g-grandmother ROUGH who pronounced it as "ROW," who was born in North Carolina and died in Warrick County, IN (Boonville). I'm trying to determine who named it the Rough River, and why.
