I am wondering where on the Ohio River a particular ferry boat would have crossed back and forth from the Indiana and Kentucky sides of the river. I have heard that there was a ferry that crossed the river, perhaps in the 1800s and early 1900s, from a point on the Kentucky side to the Newburgh, IN, area. Or, perhaps, someone can give me an idea of an avenue to pursue to get the answer to the question. It is possible that the Kentucky side was either near the Henderson County line or over in Henderson County. Would it have been located somewhere in the Reed area? Thanks for any suggestions.
