Looking for information on a Samuel SMITH (Sr) and a Samuel SMITH (Jr), both supposedly born in Kentucky. Sam, Jr. was born August 24, 1844 and was married to Rhoda Catherine "Katie" CARRICO, September 17, 1867, in St. Rose Catholic Church, in Springfield, Ky. Sam, Sr., supposedly born in Kentucky, was married to a Nancy CUSICK, no dates or places available. Kate CARRICO's mother was a SPALDING/SPAULDING. I'm not sure but I have reason to believe that the CARRICO, CUSICK, and SPALDING families came from St. Mary's County, the southernmost county in Maryland. The SMITH line could possibly be a GERMANNA family, since they are descended from the KEMPER and HOLTZCLAW families. Any help or direction would be most appreciated.
