Anyone ever heard or read abt this.....trying to find info on it as the Hinch related to my Smothers, thanks, Nena >In February of 1998 I received a note from Anne Livingston referring to a >Hinch document located at the Kentucky Archives, as follows: >From Sandi Gorin's book: There is a thick file of Hinch family documents at Kentucky State Archives File 6214 having to do mainly with settlement of John Hinch's estate. One of the papers stated that Capt. Hinch had an accident in a salt well at Bullitt's Lick saltworks and drowned in July 1786. His widow Hannah was appointed administrator of his estate. I tried to have a Kentucky researcher look for this file for me but, she has been unsuccessful in locating it. I have tried to contact Anne without success. Has anyone on this list seen this file? Does anyone know which of Sandi's books this reference is from? I haven't been successful contacting Sandi either. >>>>> We did get a note back from Sandi and she did not think it was in her file......?? > _________________________________________________________________ Tired of spam?
